Loved looking through your photos. My mother's family, the McLean`s, lived in Harriet Street. I vaguely remember visiting there. We went to live in in Dundee but recently retired and now live in Newton Mearns. All uncles and aunts are gone now but am still interested in the Shaws. Think one of your photos contains one of the cousins Betty Knox.

My grandmother, Margaret McCracken Kerr was said to be born in Pollokshaws Jan. 28, 1880. I was so pleased to find your website. Looking forward to visiting online. Is Refrewshire near? It could have been her birthplace. Thank you.

Hi. I love this site! I am doing some research for my father about his parents who lived in Pollockshaw Road where he was born in 1927. His parents had a fruit shop and I am trying to find out what it was called and any other information for dad. His mother was Margaret Johnston Hepburn (nee Masterton) and his dad was Douglas Stuart Hepburn. I know it's a long shot but I dream of being able to tell him about it and even see if there is a photo. If anyone can help please e-mail me. Alison.

Do you have a printed copy of the history of Pollokshaws? I am descended from the family of Pollocks, and would be interested to find information re the ancient history of Pollocks, and possible connections of Family's Congletons/Congaltouns and also Hargreaves. If you have a printed History how much would it be? Many thanks in anticipation, Janet Harvey
